♡TENDER MERCIES♡
Guys! Guess what! I saw the sun so much this week! And it's getting more green and more like spring everyday! Little tender mercies like these are what makes my week sometimes! This week we had a lot of tender mercies like these!
Tuesday: KINDNESS OF STRANGERS
- Sister Sanderson had her written drivers test this week, so we got to go to Hereford! To say the least... we were very lost and could not find the testing center! It was in the city centre and we looked everywhere! It was almost time for her test and we were so stressed! So we started basically street contacting and asking everyone if they knew where the testing center was. No one knew where it was! But then a lady overheard us and told us she knew where it was! I am just so grateful for that kind lady who took the time to help us when she did not have to!
- I couldn't go with Sister Sanderson, so I sat in a bakery ALL BY MYSELF! It was the first time that I have been alone since my MRI a year ago haha! It felt so weird!
Wednesday: THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT YOU GIRLS
- We got to teach our friend Onika! We met her a couple of weeks ago tracting and we were able to finally meet with her! She is just about the coolest person ever! Onika told us her side of the story when we knocked on her door, but Onika said that there was something different about us and that she knew she had to say yes and invite us back!
-We taught her about the Restoration of the Gospel and the Book of Mormon. Man! It was like that room was hit with spiritual lightning! When Sister Sanderson told Onika about the account of the first vision, I was fighting back tears. We asked Onika how she was feeling and she said, "This is something I have never heard about, but all I can feel is peace and that this is good."
Thursday-Friday: YATE IS INDEED GREAT
- We had interviews this week, which was awesome as always! It is always a huge tender mercy to see my old comps! I got to see Sister Olander, Sister Weight, and Sister Lacour!
- I also got to go to Yate again for exchanges with Sister Lacour! Idk what it is about Yate, but everytime I go there for exchanges we get let in and miracles happen haha!
- We were tracting by a referral and knocked on this one guys door named Clive! He said that he couldn't right then so we asked for his number, left him a pamphlet, and set up a return appointment. That night Clive sent in a referral to meet with missionaries! Woot woot!
- We also knocked on Martin's door! He said that his mom would love to hear a message about Jesus Christ, so he let us in! We taught them about the Plan of Salvation and Easter. Martin invited us to come back! Let's go!
Sunday: SABBATH MIRACLES
- Such huge tender mercies happened on Sunday! Our friend Maddie was able to get a ride to church! Onika and her kids made it to church too! Turns out that her kids go to school with some of the kids in the ward! Maddie and Onika were participating during classes and everyone thought they were members already haha! Both of them have such special and powerful spirits! I am so grateful for their examples of faith!
QUOTE FOR EASTER:
"It is fitting that during the week from Palm Sunday to Easter morning we turn our thoughts to Jesus Christ, the source of light, life, and love. The multitudes in Jerusalem may have seen Him as a great king who would give them freedom from political oppression. But in reality He gave much more than that. He gave us His gospel, a pearl beyond price, the grand key of knowledge that, once understood and applied, unlocks a life of happiness, peace, and fulfillment."
-Dieter F. Uchtdorf
I am just so grateful to be a missionary and to meet these amazing people who are helping me come closer to my Savior! Love you and miss you all! And don't ever forget that Jesus loves you too!
