YAY! I'M NOT A FAILURE!

Hey everyone! Guess what! I get to stay in the blessed land of Swindon for at least another 6 weeks! Woot woot! Tuesday: GOD & SCIENCE - We got to teach Jemima again and help her prep for her baptism! (Never had a baptism before... please send advice haha!) - We taught her about the Word of Wisdom and the Law of Chastity with an amazing member, Emma! The lesson was so cool! When we were teaching Jemima everything, she was so on board! Jemima studied Biology and was telling us how all the principles about the WoW and the LoC was backed by science! And Emma also studied science and mental health so Jemima and Emma were just bouncing off of one another! It was so cool! Wednesday: PRIESTHOOD POWER - I had my theory (written) test for my UK drivers license this week and I was beyond nervous. This would be my 3rd time taking it (yes, I know 3rd time) and I really need to pass it. I had studied so hard and prayed for the last 2 times but failed by 1 question. Test taking has never been my strength and it makes me extremely nervous. Back home I always had my dad to give me a priesthood blessing for school/tests and I didn't realize how much those blessings impacted my life. Asking for help has also never been a strength of mine, but after lots of prayer, I felt like I should ask for a blessing. So I asked the Elders we share the area with to give me a blessing before my test. After the blessing I felt so much peace and reassurance! And guess what! I PASSED! I know that God gave us the gift of the priesthood to bless our lives! So we need to use it! Never be afraid to ask for help, especially from God! God will give us that extra boost to not only get that 1 more question right, He will help us go way beyond that! Friday: POWERLIFTER - Sister Boamah and I got to help a family move this week with some other members! When we first asked if we could help, people said "Yeah, but we will be lifting heavy things." Ok and?!? I have been dying to lift something since they took away our weights! Not sure what it was (probably the Sister Jorgensen in me) but I ended up lifting only the heavy things, maybe out of spite, but it was so much fun! It was so funny seeing the member's faces when I would just lift up a dryer or a dresser haha! I think the members are a little scared of me now... but it's ok! Being a servant of the Lord increases everything... even your muscles! Sunday: OUR GOLDEN GIRL - We got to teach Jemima again! This time we taught her about tithing and fasting, usually hard for people to understand or believe in, but not for Jemima! Turns out that she already paid tithing back in the Philippines at her grandma's church! And she already fasts and prays on her own! WHAT IN THE WORLD? HOW GOLDEN IS SHE? I have never met anyone so prepared to start their way on the covenant path as much as Jemima! Jemima also asked our bishop if he would like to baptize her! It was just the sweetest thing! Hope you all have an amazing week! Love you lots and Jesus loves you too!
