FOREST FRIENDS

Ok everyone ! I LOVE THE FOREST! I love our friends, our ward, and the area! It is probably the most beautiful area I have been in! Maybe it's because it looks so much like Idaho haha! Our golden friends: They may be few in numbers, but they are solid! Shout out to Sister Olander and Sister Cortez! JON: - Jon was a referral and started being taught last month. He was struggling with addiction and one night he got on his knees and prayed to his Heavenly Father for help. At that moment he lost the feeling of addiction! Then he came across an add on YouTube to meet with missionaries, so he signed up! - He loves meeting with missionaries and reading the Book of Mormon! He is already in Jacob and has only been reading it for a month! We met with him 4 times this week! I love it when he shares his testimony of God's love and grace and the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon! I love seeing how much the gospel changes people's lives! ABBEY: - Sister Olander found Abbey on Facebook and started meeting with her! She is so cool! Abbey did not grow up religious, but has always felt some sort of connection with God! So she knew that meeting with missionaries was the right thing to do! - Abbey has such a gift of understanding scriptures! This week we read about the Stripling Warriors' moms and the importance of their examples! She connected with it right away! Abbey has a very powerful testimony of the Holy Ghost and the Book of Mormon! Her family has been noticing the positive difference that has been happening to her and now they all want to come to church! Let's go! DAVE: - He was also found by the legends (Sister Olander and Cortez)! He loves reading the Book of Mormon and always comes with really good questions each lesson! Dave loves learning about God's grace! He is just a cute little old guy! RENATO: - Renato is friends with a couple of the people in the ward and works with a couple of them! He was one day curious about what the 'Mormon' church was about! So, as he says, "I invited myself!" Haha! He is so sweet and loves the feelings he gets from coming to church! - Renato came to church and we taught him more about the Book of Mormon! Man! The spirit was so strong and it was so cool hearing Renato testify of the spirit he was feeling! I can't wait to keep learning with him! Some funny stuff: - We stopped at a little grocery store and a guy stopped and took a wee in front of us... that was a... - I introduced myself as a volunteer for the Church of Jesus Christ and the lady yelled at me, "NO YOU'RE NOT!" So that lead to an identity crisis... jkjk. - A guy got mad at us cause he was watching rugby. He wouldn't even tell me who was winning. How rude! - We had another Filipino party! Those parties are my favorite thing ever! I tried pig's stomach... that was interesting! Last week sheep, this week pig, maybe next week cow? Anyways! It was an awesome week and a total grind!   Hey Ya'll! My Pdays are now on Saturdays because I'm in the office! I'm also becoming quite the expert when it comes to the crutches haha! Monday & Tuesday: Last Days on the Island  - Had my last dinner with Dennis! He went all out! He made us steak and potatoes with a trifle! So good! We teach missionaries and ward members how to find and teach by using Facebook! So cool! I am learning so much from these Sisters! Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road!

Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well! This week was awesome!!! I started driving here in England last week! It's definitely an adjustment to drive on the left side! But! I can say with confidence that I have seen the Lord's hand in my life everyday... cause there's no way I would still be alive without Him...haha! People here drive crazy! I still don't understand, but I'll get there!!! Sunday: EASTER! - I loved spending Easter as a missionary! Just having my whole life focused on Jesus Christ made it so amazing! I got to sing a musical number with Elder Little and Elder Jaccod while Sister Jorgensen played the piano and Elder Hansen played the cello! It was awesome! All the cute British grandmas were crying haha! - I got to reflect a lot on why I believe in Christ. Lately a lot of people have been telling me that I don't believe in Jesus... even though I am a missionary for the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints... So I thought I would share my ...

YAY! I'M NOT A FAILURE!

Hey everyone! Guess what! I get to stay in the blessed land of Swindon for at least another 6 weeks! Woot woot! Tuesday: GOD & SCIENCE - We got to teach Jemima again and help her prep for her baptism! (Never had a baptism before... please send advice haha!) - We taught her about the Word of Wisdom and the Law of Chastity with an amazing member, Emma! The lesson was so cool! When we were teaching Jemima everything, she was so on board! Jemima studied Biology and was telling us how all the principles about the WoW and the LoC was backed by science! And Emma also studied science and mental health so Jemima and Emma were just bouncing off of one another! It was so cool! Wednesday: PRIESTHOOD POWER - I had my theory (written) test for my UK drivers license this week and I was beyond nervous. This would be my 3rd time taking it (yes, I know 3rd time) and I really need to pass it. I had studied so hard and prayed for the last 2 times but failed by 1 question. Test taking has never been ...
