WHITEWASHING TAKE 3

Alright alright alright! Let's get into it y'all! This week was transfers and I got transferred to... THE FOREST OF DEAN! I am Whitewashing into my 3rd area in a row! Let's get it! Was not expecting to stay in the Cheltenham zone for a 6th transfer in a row haha! It's gonna be a party and a half! I will miss Cheltenham and Sister Weight with my whole heart, but I'm excited for this new adventure! Tuesday: HAGGIS - Just wanted to let y'all know that I have been a very adventurous eater on the mission. Whatever the members give me I will eat it. My momma raised me right! So my eating adventure this week was haggis. Yup. I ate a sheep's stomach. It honestly wasn't too bad! - Some of the sweetest members ever served their missions in Scotland and it was Burns Night (Scottish holiday)! So they wanted to share with Sister Weight and I some of their fun mission traditions! It was so fun! We listen to bagpipe music and read Scottish poems in a Scottish accent! Wednesday: BYE BYE - My last day in Cheltenham was a party! We did a whiteboard finding activity with some of the YA in the ward and our friend Didi! It was so much fun and I was so proud of them! - That night we had a YSA activity and we had a nerf war... Good thing some Elders left some nerf guns in the flat haha! - Did I cry when I left the miracle land and my mission daughter? You know it! Thank goodness I can go back to Cheltenham and see Sister Weight on exchanges!!! Thursday: IDAHOMIES - My new comp is Sister Sanderson! Guess what!!! She is from Idaho!!! I love her so much! She is so funny and it's going to be a party of a transfer! We are bonding over my new found love for Diet Coke (Idk why it's so much better over here) and being some of the tallest sisters in the mission haha! - Our first night we went to youth and we played minute to win it games! One game we seriously rolled potatoes on the floor with our heads... never felt so Idahoan in my life! And yes my team won!!! Friday & Saturday: FINDING IN THE FOREST FOR REAL - So far I am absolutely loving it here! It is so GORGEOUS! People here are so kind! -We went street contacting and we stopped this sweet lady named Jan! She was so excited to talk to us about Jesus! Then she asked us if she could say a prayers for us and it was the cutest little prayer! Then she gave us a hug! My heart! - Went tracting and we knocked on this one guy's door and he said that he couldn't talk long because his wife was sick. So I thought I would pull a Jan move and ask if we could pray for him and his wife! He said yes! It lead to a really good conversation and he was so happy we were there! - We got hit on by some construction workers... I guess there are highs and lows to every area haha! Sunday: INSTANT CELEBRITY - Oh my goodness! I love this ward!!! It is so diverse! There are English, Welsh, South African, Australian, and Philippinos!!! They are just the sweetest and I'm excited to get to know them! - After church, all of the families from the Philippines invited us to their little birthday lunch after church! Filipino food= elect. Also I guess I look like a celebrity from the Philippines haha! I think her name was Alexis... idk. They all got out their phones to compare our faces! They called me an "instant celebrity!" Love them! Scripture of the Week: John 13:14-17 "If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them." So yeah it's gonna be awesome! Love y'all and Jesus loves you too!
