I GUESS I'M A LOCAL NOW

Want some pure entertainment??? Well... here ya go: Tuesday: 4 SISTER FLAT - I got to go on exchanges with Sister Cortez in the Forest of Dean! Sister Cortez is from the Philippines! She is one of the funniest people I know! Here are some of my favorite quotes from Sister Cortez that exchange: •"I'm wearing lipstick so they don't reject us." • "Sister Olander can be a panda.. because panda is blind. They always fall! And Sister Olander! Her ankle! She's a clumsy one!" • "UNO!!!!!!!!!!" • "He would be a deer because he walks slow." • "Well now I'm the panda. I'm blind too!" • "I'm so pale! They are going to reject us because of my pale-ness!" • "I'm wearing lipstick... you're wearing mask-era... How could they reject our beautiful faces?!?!?" - When we were tracting we met someone from Kentucky! I told her that I was from the states and she said, "Really? I thought you were British." - I can take a .5 picture now! Sister Cortez is a master teacher! - The Forest of Dean ward has a game night every Tuesday and it was so fun! Sadly I made an 8 year old cry cause I crushed him at ping pong... whoops. - To say the least I had a great time haha! That night Sister Olander, Cortez, Weight, and I spent the night in Cheltenham! It was a party and a half! We don't have any spare mattresses or anything like that... so Sister Olander and Cortez slept one the floor... They are total champs! - We had a spa night to use up all 500 face masks and feet masks the members gave us for Christmas haha! I haven't laughed so much in one night... I think ever!!! 10/10 would do it again! FRIDAY: WRECK IT RALF - Want to hear about the most chaotic lesson ever? So we went to have a recommitment lesson with our friend Rehana because she has not been keeping any commitments. So we go over. Turns out they got a kitten for Christmas. It was really cute, but it was like someone gave that cat a redbull!!! That thing was zooming everywhere and knocking over everything during the lesson! It was really distracting for everyone so eventually I just grabbed the cat and pinned it down at my feet for the rest of the lesson. For 45 minutes my hand was being bit and scratched by that dang cat! It was worth it because Rehana is now reading her scriptures! Let's go! - When we go tracting we have to open a gate to get to the front door. Sometimes the gates are jammed or not level so you have to lift it a bit so it will open. Sister Weight and I came across one of these gates and she couldn't open it. So I went to open it and said, "Sometimes you just need to lift it up a bit..." As I said this I pulled the entire gate door off of it's hinges!!! Sister Weight then died laughing as I was trying to fix it in panic mode haha! Sunday: BUT YOU LOOK AND SOUND BRITISH - Joel came to church again! He has been studying the Book of Mormon through the Come Follow Me program and is loving it! Such a legend! - We had a lesson with our new friend Didi! She is so cool! Didi contacted us because she wants to share the gospel too! So she is interested in learning with us and then helping us find! Didi is just the sweetest! She loves her Savior so much and is very passionate about sharing the gospel! When we were introducing ourselves more she said to me, "You're not British? But you look and sound British!" So I guess I am picking up the accent haha! What can I say! Favorite quote of the week: "When you leave something in the Savior’s hands, don't try to take it back!"- Yvonne (My cute Jamaican grandma) That was the week!   Hey Ya'll! My Pdays are now on Saturdays because I'm in the office! I'm also becoming quite the expert when it comes to the crutches haha! Monday & Tuesday: Last Days on the Island  - Had my last dinner with Dennis! He went all out! He made us steak and potatoes with a trifle! So good! Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road!

Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well! This week was awesome!!! I started driving here in England last week! It's definitely an adjustment to drive on the left side! But! I can say with confidence that I have seen the Lord's hand in my life everyday... cause there's no way I would still be alive without Him...haha! People here drive crazy! I still don't understand, but I'll get there!!! Sunday: EASTER! - I loved spending Easter as a missionary! Just having my whole life focused on Jesus Christ made it so amazing! I got to sing a musical number with Elder Little and Elder Jaccod while Sister Jorgensen played the piano and Elder Hansen played the cello! It was awesome! All the cute British grandmas were crying haha! - I got to reflect a lot on why I believe in Christ. Lately a lot of people have been telling me that I don't believe in Jesus... even though I am a missionary for the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints... So I thought I would share my ...

YAY! I'M NOT A FAILURE!

Hey everyone! Guess what! I get to stay in the blessed land of Swindon for at least another 6 weeks! Woot woot! Tuesday: GOD & SCIENCE - We got to teach Jemima again and help her prep for her baptism! (Never had a baptism before... please send advice haha!) - We taught her about the Word of Wisdom and the Law of Chastity with an amazing member, Emma! The lesson was so cool! When we were teaching Jemima everything, she was so on board! Jemima studied Biology and was telling us how all the principles about the WoW and the LoC was backed by science! And Emma also studied science and mental health so Jemima and Emma were just bouncing off of one another! It was so cool! Wednesday: PRIESTHOOD POWER - I had my theory (written) test for my UK drivers license this week and I was beyond nervous. This would be my 3rd time taking it (yes, I know 3rd time) and I really need to pass it. I had studied so hard and prayed for the last 2 times but failed by 1 question. Test taking has never been ...
