DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL DATE...

... mine would be BAPTISMAL! (so please don't go and report me to my Mission President haha) Our friend Jemima accepted the invitation to be baptized! Jemima will be getting baptized on the 27th of August! I'll be talking more about that later! So if you can't tell already, this week has been absolutely amazing! Tuesday: LOST ON THE M4 - So we went to go teach our friend Rachel! She lives out in the middle of nowhere! We were trying to go around this huge roundabout (that actually doesn't look like one but it is... with 9 lanes) and we took the wrong exit and ended up on the M4(the freeway) and got to the border of our area! Whoops! But by the grace of God (and a really nice postman) we finally found Rachel's house! - Rachel is so cool! She met with missionaries back in the 90s and lost contact with them, but then she saw an ad from our church to meet with missionaries! Rachel is so kind and just wants to learn! We taught her about the Restoration and how the Church came to be and she loved it! And she wants to learn more! She is so elect! - On our way back from Rachel's we were confident that we were not going to get lost... boy were we wrong. We ended up taking the same wrong exit and got to the border of our area again! These roundabouts get ya! Thursday: TENDER MERCIES - Lately we have been finding in areas where people have been so nice! Like actually kind to us and don't look at us with total disgust! If that isn't a tender mercy, I don't know what is! - We also got to teach Jemima over lunch at a member's home! Another tender mercy! With the legend Elly Taylor of course! We taught her about the 2 greatest commandments and about our first covenant to take upon ourselves the name of Christ! It was such a powerful and good lesson! I know it may seem that God asks a lot from us at times, but I know that the reason why He does is because He loves us and knows our potential! The reason why I am obedient is because I love God! Friday: FIND IN ALL PLACES - Sister Boamah and I had been street contacting for a couple of hours and we were dying of thirst! So we popped into a shop really quick to grab a drink. At the register, the cashier saw our tags and said, "Oh I know that church! It's right by my girlfriend's place. She doesn't believe in God, but I do! I'm interested!" What in the heck is this place? Swindon is on another level. So Sister Boamah gave him a card! You can really find people anywhere! Sunday: MIRACLE MAYHEM - Ok Sunday was full of miracles, so put on your seat belts!!! RACHEL: - 5 minutes before church starts we get a call from Rachel! She was coming to church, but got a little lost! She found it and was on time! Sister Boamah and I were so surprised because Rachel lives 45 minutes from the chapel! The ward welcomed her right away and showed her around! Rachel loved church and is bringing her husband and her son next week! - We had a lesson with Rachel over zoom reading from the Book of Mormon with her. We had amazing members on the lesson too! Liberty, she is a youth and wants to go on a mission, and her mom! Rachel has set a goal to read 10 pages from the BOM everyday! AND SHE DOES IT! We asked her if she is understanding it and she said, "I may not be understanding it all, but I believe it." (Our jaws dropped to the floor) Rachel also heard about fasting, so she started fasting right after church! We were able to talk to her about that too! Rachel said that she is all in and is ready! Let's go! FRANCIS: - Sister Boamah and I went street contacting, but there wasn't really anyone there. Then we met Francis! He said hi to us first and we talked to him for a bit. He said that he had met with missionaries in the past when he lived in Birmingham! He has just moved to Swindon and wants to meet with us when he is done moving! JEMIMA: - I LOVE JEMIMA! We were able to teach her after church about commandments and prophets! Of course Jemima was being elect as always and Sister Boamah and I knew that Jemima was ready. We had invited her to pray about baptism and she asked if she could be baptized this week! We have to teach her a couple of more things still so her baptism date is August 27th! Jemima is so excited!!! Sorry for the novel, but oh my goodness! I love it here in Swindon so much! I am so grateful to be serving here! Love you all and Jesus loves you too!
