AVOCADO... MILKSHAKE!
Hey! Sister Positive Patty here (new nickname from Sister Boamah)! Back at it with another blessed week here in Swindon!
Tuesday: IRRESPONSIBLE MISSIONARIES
- We had a lesson with our friend Tiago! The Elders and a member, the legend Brother Frost, joined us too! Tiago has been struggling and really opened up to all of us. We taught him about Faith, Repentance, Baptism, the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End! I love the steps that Christ gave us so we can return to our Heavenly Father! My favorite part is that all the steps require action and effort! The Elders will now be teaching Tiago and it will be so good for him!
- While Sister Boamah and I were out finding, we got a very strange, angry message... "We didn't appreciate finding an invite card slide between the frame & front door. Very irresponsible." Goodness! Sorry we didn't invite you to church sooner! Sheesh!
Wednesday: EUSEBIO EXCHANGE
- I was able to go on exchanges with Sister Eusebio! We came into the mission together and I just love her to bits! She is so kind, wise, bold, and loves sharing the love of God to everyone around her! And Holy cow! Exchanges bring miracles!
- Miracle 1: Sister Eusebio and I went street contacting and after only talking to bashers and strange men... we met Anika! She was the last one we talked to! As we talked to her we found out that Anika just moved from Nigeria. She had said a prayer that morning of where to go to church... then she met us! She is so cool!
- Miracle 2: We also went tracting! For some reason I have been wanting to go down this one street for a long time, but we had never gotten around to it. But Sister Eusebio and I finally did it! At almost every house, someone was home! And they were kind too! When we were done and leaving, someone opened their door and asked, "Hey! Did you put this card through my door? Where is the Church?" I was in shock. We told him where and then Sister Eusebio asked him what interested him. He said that he had been thinking about religion a lot lately and just didn't know where to go! Now we are going to teach him! His name is Jonny! Let's go!
- Miracle 3: Sister Eusebio is absolutely magical. She made me the best milkshake I have had on my mission! An AVOCADO milkshake! I know it sounds strange, but it is so good!!! I just love her! What a legend!
Thursday: ON THE GRIND!
- I don't know what it was, but on Thursday I talked to and stopped more people street contacting then I have my whole mission! (Probably the Sister Eusebio-ness from exchanges haha!) We did not stop for 3 1/2 hours straight! Woot woot! It may not seem like a lot at times, but stopping people on the street is something I have been working on. So I feel like I am really stretching myself to be a better missionary! We got phone numbers and people actually talked to us! Woot woot!
- Then we taught our friend Rosemond about the Plan of Salvation! And I can tell you that God's plan is truly a plan of mercy, a plan of redemption, a plan of happiness, and a plan of love! Rosemond is really progressing well and loves knowing more about her Savior Jesus Christ and His gospel!
Sunday: JEMIMA!
- Jemima came to church again and she loved it! The members love her too! We had a lesson with her afterwards and we taught her about Baptism, the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End! And let me tell ya... the spirit was so strong! Like bringing tears to your eyes strong! I love Jemima so much and she is progressing and learning so well! She loves going to church, praying, and reading the Book of Mormon! So! We invited Jemima to ask God if baptism is right for her and when she should get baptized! Please keep Jemima in your prayers this week!
Not going to lie... still dreaming about that avocado milkshake... IT WAS SO GOOD! Love you all and hope that you have a blessed week! And remember that Jesus loves you too!
