Saved by Ben and Jerry's!
Hello everybody! This week was awesome! I am so grateful to be here in England to share the gospel and spread God's love! Apologies in advance for the longer email haha!
Monday: SNAIL SLAYER
- Sister Jorgensen and I went to go do some gardening services for this old lady, or so we thought... we went back there and it was a full on forest... and we did not have any tools... It was crazy! We did what we could! And OH MY GOODNESS! I have never seen so many snails in my life! I tried not to step on them... but that was impossible. I murdered at least 200 snails...
- Sister Jorgensen and I also got to go to this beautiful park for some studying time and this super cute dog came up to us. We started talking to the owner, Debbie, and she quickly realized that we are not English haha! We started talking and she said that she's always been curious about the Book of Mormon and asked for a pamphlet about it so she could buy one. Little did she know that we had one for her for FREE! She was so excited about it!
Wednesday: PREACHING AT THE HOSPITAL
- I got my results back from my MRI! Long story short, I need surgery but not right now! Woot woot! Satan can't get rid of me that easily haha!
- After my appointment the receptionist asked to talk with us. When she pulled us aside she asked if we were Mormon missionaries and we told her yes! She got so excited and emotional! Her sister's family is part of the church and loves going to church with them! She said that she was so grateful that we came in that day because she had a terrible week. She gave us the biggest hugs ever! It just made my day! Even though in the end she wasn't interested in learning about the gospel, it is just amazing to think about the impacts we have as missionaries on those around us!
Friday: SENIOR MISSIONARIES FOR THE WIN!
- If there's one thing that us stressed and confused missionaries need in a different country... It's grandparents. I am so grateful for the senior missionaries that we have in the office! The McDonalds and the Wallaces! They are just the sweetest and most kind hearted people ever! Also so so funny! Sister Jorgensen and I had quite a week with giving 6 trainings this week! Then the McDonalds came in and they had bought all the missionaries in the office Ben and Jerry's ice cream! It just made my whole day!
Saturday: PDAY!
- We started the day off with the best thing ever! RUGBY! I am now "Coach Hope" haha! Everyone in the office is starting to get it down and it is so fun!
- We got to go hiking and caving! It was so gorgeous! We went to the Mendip Hills and to the Rock of Ages! It was so cool!
Hope Y'all have a wonderful week! Love you all so much and Jesus loves you too!
