🎶I'm Still Standing🎶

Hey Ya'll! Can't believe that it's Monday again and let's just say that it's a miracle that I'm still standing...

Monday: Pday!
-The highlight, besides talking to my family and friends of course, was going to McDonald's. Or Mac's, Don's, Micky D's... whatever you want to call it. Idk why, but McDonald's here is way fancier than back home! But with the same quality of food haha! They do have more options tho!

Tuesday: Hospital Visit...
-So a little back story... A little over a year ago I fractured my knee in a rugby game. I did not know I broke it until 2 weeks later... 0/10 recommend. For the last 2 weeks my knee has not been the greatest and a little concerning haha! My pain has been increasing and it has been feeling as bad as it did when I broke it... woot woot!
-Sister Olander and I went to the hospital to get my knee checked out. -12/10. We waited for 3 1/2 hours. When the nurse, Sharrel, finally took a look at it she had to GOOGLE what was wrong with me. Then she said, "put a bag of frozen peas on it and take it easy for the next few months." Sharrel. I CAN'T TAKE IT EASY! THE PEOPLE NEED JESUS!
-Anyways. They gave me some strong pain killers because ibuprofen and Tylenol do not work on me. Most important lesson I learned this week... I SHOULD NEVER TAKE DRUGS. Not only did the painkillers not work, they made me super loopy. Sister Olander found it very entertaining haha!
-I have a doctors appointment where I will hopefully get an x-ray tomorrow!!!

Friday: What is a quid? I'm still trying to understand pounds...
- We got a phone call in the middle of personal study from our friend Richie! He just moved to the island from Nigeria a couple of months ago! He decided to call us and ask about the church! It was so nice to have someone call us for once haha!!! We taught him about the Restoration and he wants to learn more!
- Volunteered at the charity shop again! This time we were working the till. WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ENGLISH CURRENCY. So that was entertaining for everyone to watch 2 American girls try to figure out how much change to give them haha!

Super Bowl Sunday:
- I had a musical number in sacrament meeting. I sang hymn 98, I Need Thee Every Hour. One of my favorite Hymns! I guess it wasn't too bad cause no one got up and left haha! #BritainsGotTalentHereICome jkjkjk
- Our friend Thomas came to church! He enjoyed sacrament meeting and we taught him the Plan of Salvation afterwards with Ana Palomo and her son, Juan! It was my first time teaching the second lesson, so it was a little rocky at first. Ya'll. I do not know what happened, but it was like the room got struck by spiritual lighting. I shared my testimony of the Plan of Salvation and I could not control my emotions. I started crying so much because of how strong the spirit was. Thomas and everyone else started crying too. It was crazy! Thomas said he will come back to church next week!
- Because it was Super Bowl Sunday, I made caramel popcorn! So good!

My theme song this week was definitely "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John, or that gorilla in that one movie! haha.
Love you all so much and Jesus loves you too!
