THIS IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME

Hey everyone! This week flew by! Oh my days! Tuesday: CAN YOU READ THAT AGAIN? - Something really cool happened this week! Sister Abellido and I were street contacting and this lady came and stopped us. We had talked to her last week and shared a scripture from the Book of Mormon. She started crying because her husband had recently passed away and we were an answer to her prayer! We weren't able to talk with her for long because she was in a hurry. So this week she saw us and was so excited! She asked us to read the verses again and we were able to explain the Book of Mormon a bit more! Then she asked for our number so we could meet! Her name is Asha! Such a miracle! - We also saw these cute ladies that were trying to spread some happiness and were offering free hugs! How cute! Thursday: LAST ZONE CONFERENCE - We had zone conference this week! This was my last zone conference! That felt so weird haha! I had an opportunity to give my departing testimony and surprisingly I did not cry haha! I don't really remember all that I shared, but I thought I would just share a bit with y'all! - Something that we hear as missionaries almost everyday is that we are wasting our time or that we are wasting our time on them. I would like to testify that this work is not and never will be a waste of time. It is not a waste of time because our Savior did not waste His time paying for all of our sins and suffered for all of our trials and affections in the garden or on the cross, even for those that reject and hate Him. He did not waste His time on me. Because of Christ's Atonement, we can be forgiven, be with our families, and find that true joy. This is a joy that I have felt on my mission! Now this does not mean that I am happy all the time because that would be unrealistic. Happiness is based on our circumstances, but the joy that comes through Christ is eternal. It comes from knowing who I am and who He wants me to become. Serving a mission has always been my biggest dream! But as this mission comes to its end, I realize that my real dream is to become a true Disciple of Jesus Christ and that this mission is only part of that! I love my Savior and I know that this is His gospel! Friday: DINNER WITH GRANDMA AND GRANDPA - We had flat checks this week and some of my favorite people came to Newport! The Wallaces! We got to go to Nandos and it was a party and a half! They are such great examples to me! Just love them so much! Saturday: MADDIE'S BAPTISM - Sister Abellido and I got an opportunity to drive back to the Forest for Maddie's baptism! Maddie was absolutely GLOWING! Her mom was able to come too and was so supportive! Maddie gave the sweetest testimony after she was baptized, I was tearing up! She said that she has changed into a better person and was able to find her home! Love Maddie so much! Hope y'all have a great week! Love you and Jesus loves you too! <3 class="separator" div="" hope="" sister="" style="clear: both;">
