SERIES OF UNEXPECTED EVENTS
Y'all are not really for this one. Get buckled up.
Flashback to last transfer:
- I was talking with some of my missionary friends and reviewing our missions so far. I thought to myself, "One thing I haven't done is be apart of an ET (emergency transfer)!"
- Now keep this in mind as you continue reading...
Monday- Tuesday: BACK TO MIRACLE LAND
- I got to go back to Cheltenham for exchanges! I guess being away for a week and a half was too long for me haha! I got to go on exchanges with Sister Lagilagi! She is being trained by Sister Weight! Sister Lagilagi is from Fiji! She is a party and a half! Had the time of my life with her!
- We were tracting and one of the last doors we knocked we talked to this really nice guy! He said that he had a faith already so I asked him how that faith has blessed him and his family. He told us that lately it hasn't because his family has been going through a lot of trials. So I felt like I should ask him if we could say a prayer for him and his family. He said yes! So we said a prayer and man! The spirit was so strong! It was a really good experience for Sister Lagilagi and I!
- Also got to see a lot of my friends from the Cheltenham ward! Such a blessing!
Wednesday: GLIMPS OF OFFICE ELDER LIFE
- Now this is where it gets a little crazy. Tuesday Night we got a call from President Gallacher and he said that Sister Sanderson and I will be getting a new companion! Sister Parkinson! We served with each other in the office.
- So we spent 5 1/2 hours in the car on Wednesday. We drove from Cheltenham to the Forest, Forest to Cardiff, Cardiff to Bristol, Bristol to Cardiff, and Cardiff to the Forest. It was a long, long day. I already had a huge respect for office Elders and what they do, but now... dang! I only had to move stuff around for one day and I was dead haha!
- To make the day even more exciting... I got food poisoning... yay. Don't get the chicken at Subway.
Friday: FIGHTING FOOD POISONING AND SATAN
- Despite having food poisoning, I still managed to do the average 4 1/2 hours of tracting that missionaries do in the Forest. Lots of tracting= Lots of weird tracting stories.
- We pull up to a neighborhood and these were the first couple of doors:
• (Ring Doorbell) "I'm a born again atheist."
• Whole house broke out into laughter when we said "Jesus." How rude.
• A hung over lady got really mad at us that we knocked on her door to talk about Jesus. She was so mad that she was cussing us out for the next 5 housed we knocked on. My parents would have kicked me out of the house if I even said half of the things she did! Then she recorded us the rest of the time we were tracting. Can't wait to see what Tik Tok video I'm in! Lady if it's that deep... get a 'No Cold Caller' sign.
So yeah... an interesting week for sure... to be honest I was dying at the end. But to end this email on a more positive note..
Scripture of the week: John 15:12-14
"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you."
Love y'all and Jesus loves you too!
