THE SMART AMERICAN IN MIRACLE LAND

Another fantastic week has flown by! Can't believe that I have been in Cheltenham for a month already! And thank you to everyone who reached out for my birthday! Absolutely made my day! Love y'all so much! Tuesday: WOAH! A SMART AMERICAN! - Every month the Cheltenham ward has a cute little lunch where the older folk come together to mingle and play games and it is so cute! We were invited to come and it was one of my favorite things that we have done here in Cheltenham! - One game we played is where one person has to describe an image by only using geometry shapes while the other person draws it. It was so much fun! Then the rest of the group has to guess what it is. I got it right every time! Idk how but I did! The members were very surprised and said, "Who would have thought that the American would have gotten it?" Haha! Thursday: THE SWEET DISTRICT EVER - We had DC in Cheltenham and it was a party! After the district council the other Sisters pulled out some cupcakes that they had made to celebrate my birthday! The whole district also made me the sweetest birthday card! I was so surprised because we had already celebrated my birthday on Monday! Love them! Friday: "OF COURSE HE LOVES US!" - Friday we had so many lessons! It was awesome! The first one was with Damien and we were able to finish teaching him about the Plan of Salvation! He really liked it and thought that it made so much sense! - Then we had a lesson with our friend Sonia and her kids! They are 9 and 6! (Yes! We are teaching another family! Can you believe it?!?) We also taught them about the Plan of Salvation and we would say something like, "God created this world because He loves us!" And the daughter would say, "Of course He loves us!" I just loved her excitement about knowing how much God and Jesus Christ loves her! - Then we had a great bible study with our friend Sekou about relating Christ's parables to our lives. Challenge for y'all: Read Luke 15 and relate it to yourself! Saturday: LET IN AGAIN! - We were tracting in the pouring rain and we knocked on the sweetest grandma's door! She felt so sorry for us that she let us in and let us share a message with her! I guess her family was supposed to come over but they didn't. Very disappointed in her family because she is so sweet! Her husband recently passed away, so we taught her the Plan of Salvation! She really liked it and said that she needed it! Sadly she was not interested in learning more, but I am grateful for the opportunity to share with her something that I know is true! And I am grateful that we helped her smile! Sunday: MIRACLES AT CHURCH! - Someone that we have not been able to contact reached out to us and her name is Petula! We invited her to church and guess what! She actually came! She said that she felt like a new person after church! That was pretty cool! - Sonia and her kids came to church as well! They all went to primary (so her kids would be comfortable) and they loved it! After church we were talking and Sonia said, "In the class they said that you believe in the Bible and another book? What is this book?" We told her that it was the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ! She then said, "If it is another book about Jesus then I want to learn about it! In the Bible it says that anything that testifies of God and Jesus Christ then it is a good thing!" How awesome was that!?! We will be meeting her husband next week! So excited to teach this family!!! Love you lots and Jesus loves you too!
