Swinging and Swirling into SWINDON

Hello everyone! Guess what! I got transferred! I will definitely miss being in the office and all of the amazing people I was with, but I am so stoked for this new adventure! So now my Pdays are back to Mondays! Get ready for a kinda long email full of very entertaining events haha! Tuesday: THE CALL -Sister Masima and I had finally decided our guess of what would happen at transfers, we thought I was definitely staying... that night, very late at night, we got a call from the APs. President had asked if I would be willing to OPEN a new area... I thought it was a prank... it wasn't... So I will do my best and the Lord will take care of the rest! (Pray for me please) Kinda nervous, excited, all of the emotions! It's gonna be a party! Wednesday: THE DODGE IS OUT -All of transfer news came out and my new comp is SISTER BOAMAH! I love her so much! She is from Ghana! Both of us were in the office together! She's a party! Thursday: BROKE BETTY'S COUCH - The worst part about transfers is saying goodbye to the members and our friends! Thank goodness I was able to see Betty one more time! She was so sad to hear that I was leaving, but I know she is going to grow and learn so much about her Savior! Sister Masima and I were able to have a really good lesson with her about the Book of Mormon, but in the middle of us explaining it... SNAP! Sister Masima and I came crashing to the floor! Betty's couch completely fell apart! Kinda embarrassing, but she was chill about it... I guess she will never forget us now haha! But in the end Betty said that she was going to read and pray about the Book of Mormon! Friday: NOT SO MAGICAL ROUNDABOUT - Sister Boamah and I headed off to Swindon, bopping to some smooth chill radio (office elders' special instructions)! Swindon is so gorgeous! BUT OH MY GOODNESS! I have never seen so many roundabouts in my life. So if you can imagine: Sister Boamah and I trying to find where we live, stressed about opening a new area, and just trying not to die on the ride up to Swindon, come across something called... THE MAGIC ROUNDABOUT. It is not very magical at all. So. It is this one HUGE roundabout with 6 roundabouts in it. You may think I am exaggerating... I am not. And each roundabout has 2-3 lanes and 6 different exits... basically we were just screaming and praying the whole way through it... BUT WE DIDN'T DIE! HALLELUJAH! - But I absolutely love Swindon already! I am so grateful to be serving in this beautiful area with my amazing companion! It's going to be a party and a half! Saturday: JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL... OR TIRE... - So Sister Boamah and I had a very interesting and eventful first day here! As missionaries we use an app that tells us the best places to find people to teach, the contacts of those who want to learn more, numbers for the members, map, and a calendar. Since Sister Boamah and I are opening a new area... we didn't have any of that! So we just put our faith in the Lord and just went in blind! Jesus take the wheel! - Thank goodness we share an area with some Elders, Elder De Guzman and Elder Griffith, so they could help us out! They are the best! They showed us around the town center and we went street contacting! People in Swindon are very kind! One lady even gave us a hug and thanked us for being there! And someone gave the Elders some bread haha! - On another adventure of Sister Boamah and I trying to find the church (we went around a roundabout I swear 6 times)... we got a mega flat tire... yup. But! The car place came to the rescue in 10 minutes! Usually it takes them hours! Jesus really took the tire haha! In the end it led us to a good place to go tracting! Sunday: I LOVE SWINDON - We got to go to church and finally meet the ward! They were so excited to have sister missionaries in the ward! Some members brought us flowers! Another bought us groceries! And some more invited us over for dinner! I LOVE THIS WARD! I am so grateful for them! - I am also super grateful for our new flat! Sheesh! It's the nicest, bougiest place I've ever seen as a missionary. WE HAVE A FULL SIZED BROOM! (Not a common thing I've seen here) - Speaking of our flat... did we almost flood it... yes... yes we did. We were trying to figure out our dishwasher and how to clean it and... yeah water and bubbles everywhere haha! But it's all good now haha! So yeah! Kind of a crazy awesome week haha! Talk to ya'll next week! Love you and Jesus loves you too!
